Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a weekend day shift assignment requiring ARRT MR certification and ER experience.
Details
- Hospital-based MRI Tech position within Radiology/Cardiology department
- 3x12 hour weekend day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- No on-call requirements
- Also performs X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
- MRI scope includes abdomen/pelvis, MRA, head/neck/brain, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiac MR with/without contrast
- Uses Siemens MRI equipment
- Potential to float between sister facilities within the system
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Tech experience required
- ER experience required
- Current BLS and ARRT MR certification required
- Washington state license required if applicable, and must be in hand at submission
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and isolation precautions/PPE
- 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic MRI and X-ray imaging across a wide range of anatomical regions including abdomen, pelvis, head, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal system
- Administer contrast media and follow radiation safety protocols as part of daily duties
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Travel experience is not required
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
