Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2-3 years of experience for a 24/7 radiology department performing cardiac CT, stroke, and pediatric imaging.
Details
- Radiology department open and staffed 24/7
- 3 CT scanners total (2 in main facility, 1 in ER, with a second ER scanner arriving in 11/2026)
- High-volume modality averaging 150-160 scans per day
- Adult and pediatric patient population including inpatient and ER cases
- Comprehensive stroke center utilizing Rapid AI for stroke imaging
- Cardiac CT procedures performed
- Biopsies, cryoablations, and drain placements performed (travelers typically not assigned these)
- Uses Siemens CT scanners and Syngo.via software
- EMR is Oracle, experience preferred
- Medication dispensing via Omnicell
- Shift options include weekday 4x10 days, weekday overnight 4x10s (2030-0630), weekend day shifts (10 or 12 hours), and weekend night 12-hour shifts
- Schedule cycle is 4-6 weeks, published a couple of weeks in advance
- May float to Xray on night shifts
- 1 weekend of call required per month
- No additional on-call required due to 24/7 staffing model
Requirements
- ARRT(CT) certification required
- State license required, if applicable
- BLS certification required
- 2-3 years of experience in CT required
- IV skills required
- Experience with specialty population and equipment listed required
- Oracle EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Support includes a lead or supervisor on days with on-call coverage afterhours, radiology schedulers, daytime transport, and nursing support
- Orientation includes facility NEO plus about one week within the department
- Holiday coverage expected approximately 50% of the time, subject to change based on need
- RTO requires advance manager approval
- Scrubs may be any color except denim or camo
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered
