Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of ICU experience for a night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 285 staffed beds
• RRT unit including ICU, CVU, percutaneous trach assist, and bronchoscopy assist
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:15-6:45
• Rotating weekend and holiday schedule
• On-call requirement
• No floating outside scope of practice
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Current RRT certification required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing or candidate will be expected to shave
• Scrub color is olive green
• No parking costs
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract with no RTO during the first week of assignment
• Local candidates accepted outside of a 75-mile radius only
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Standard travelers residing outside a 75-mile radius may stay for an 18-month period, followed by a required 3-month break in service
