Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center position requiring night shifts and EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
• Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certification
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours), 1845-0715
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
• Required orientation modules completed and signed off by facility managers

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a similarly sized ED or similar patient volumes required
• 5 years of recent experience in a Level 1, 2, or 3 trauma facility preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience managing trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric emergencies
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of ventilated or critically ill patients
• Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience in orthopedic trauma and splint application

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies
• Perform skills such as 12-lead EKG interpretation, splinting, and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations preferred
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no exceptions and no changes after submission
• Local travelers accepted at the same pay rate as non-local travelers
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
• Candidates with experience at multiple facilities who are still first-time travelers will be considered
