Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/PCU RN for a night shift position requiring a PA or Compact RN license and 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience.

Details

• Work in the PCU (Progressive Care Unit) of a hospital setting
• Cardiac Telemetry and PCU patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Cerner charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active PA or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Cardiac telemetry and PCU experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with respiratory, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and related clinical skills
• DL, SSN, and DOB required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring and care for cardiac and progressive care patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous travel experience not required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Local candidates not accepted
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application and is subject to facility approval
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
• Travelers who complete a cumulative year of assignments within the health system must take a two-year break before returning
• Can only be submitted to one facility within the health system at a time
• Travel pairs may be accommodated based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start date
