Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric and adult experience for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital setting.

Details

• Cardiovascular Services department performing cardiac ultrasound testing
• Pediatric and adult patient population
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Performs cardiac ultrasound tests including stress echo and transesophageal echo in accordance with American Society of Echocardiography and ICAEL standards
• Uses digital ultrasound equipment
• Documents in Epic EMR

Requirements

• Current BLS certification (AHA only, ARC not accepted)
• Registered through ARDMS or CCI
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience working at a large Level 1 Trauma Hospital required
• Pediatric and adult echo experience required
• Active NJ license required if applicable (pending license not accepted)
• Ability to prepare patients and explain procedures
• Ability to navigate electronic medical records

Additional Information

• Performs cardiac ultrasound testing for population-specific groups within scheduled timeframes
• Demonstrates full knowledge of cardiac ultrasound techniques and digital ultrasound equipment usage
• COVID vaccination plus 1 booster required, with religious exemptions accepted
• Candidates residing in New Jersey are considered local and accepted at a lower rate
