Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring an IA or compact RN license and 1-2 years of experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical Combination unit in a regional health center
• Adult patient population with Med/Surg and telemetry needs
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with CNA and LPN support staff
• Uses MediTech EHR
• 12-hour day shifts from 7a-7p
• Every other weekend required
• May be required to float within a 25 mile radius of the facility

Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS a plus but not required
• Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) required
• 1-2+ years of RN experience required
• Must clear Iowa SING background check including Criminal and Child Abuse portions
• Mandatory Reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening including opiates
• Titers required from within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg unit as part of a collaborative nursing team
• Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Travel experience preferred but not required, first-time travelers may be considered
