Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring active CA RN license, Epic experience, and at least 1 year of ER experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds
- General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric population, non-trauma designation
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend, with potential to exceed based on unit needs
- No float or call requirements
- Navy blue scrub color required for RNs
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
- Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs required
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE required
Additional Information
- Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Must reside within a 50-mile local radius or be willing to accept a lower bill rate as a local candidate
- Former permanent employees of the facility may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of consideration; post-offer RTO changes may not be accommodated
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
