Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and ACLS/BLS certification for a day-shift hospital assignment; first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting with EP lab exposure
- Adult patient population for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Procedures include left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP and Impella placement/removal, temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion, and OCT
- Uses PACS imaging system and Meditech for charting
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, four days per week
- After-hours and weekend call required approximately every third weekend
- No block scheduling accommodations
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT-R certification required; MD state license required at time of submittal if applicable
- RCIS certification accepted in lieu of state license, if applicable
- ARRT-CI, CCI RCES, and CCI RCIS certifications preferred
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, and PPI insertion preferred
- Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control practices
- Proof of residency must match candidate's licensure
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including scrub duties and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Scrubs provided
- Smoke-free facility
- No radius rule; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
- First-time travelers will be considered
- RTO requests must be submitted with application and are reviewed on a per-case basis
- Pre-start online training modules required, averaging 4-5 hours, completed no later than one week before start date
