Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a TN or compact license and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM certification.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within the Women's and Children's building, 12 beds
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Staffed by RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
- Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
- Charting systems used include CPN and Meditech
- 3 12-hour shifts per week including 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift for RNs
- Travelers float first per unit policy
- Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM
- Experience in care of the laboring patient, immediate newborn care, and circulating/recovering c-section patients
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

- Supports shared decision-making in the patient experience
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted
- Required scrub colors are Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray
- Scrubs are not provided by the facility
