Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5 years of ED experience and Trauma Level 3 exposure.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed Emergency Department at a Trauma Level 3 facility
• Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, and infants
• Common cases include trauma, cardiac events, stroke, head injury, eye trauma, abdominal pain, chest pain, and other acute complaints
• Patient ratio of 14 patients
• Night shift schedule with 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM hours
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Meditech EHR system
• Standard emergency department equipment used

Requirements

• Active RN license (ID or compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 5 years of ED nursing experience required
• RN degree required
• Experience managing trauma, cardiac, stroke, head injury, and eye trauma cases required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided

• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of acute and trauma presentations
• Strong patient-focused and team-oriented personality valued by the unit
• Scrubs may be hospital-provided or candidate's own
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
