Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT registration in Radiography to perform CT and radiographic imaging in an outpatient imaging center.
Details
- Outpatient imaging center with four rooms performing radiology, ultrasound, non-invasive vascular, and CT exams
- Laboratory services also available on-site
- 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Uses EPIC and AGFA systems
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited education program in imaging sciences
- ARRT registered in Radiography
- BLS certification required
- Active Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) license required at time of hire, if applicable
- Registry-eligible candidates must obtain CT certification within one year of employment
- ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) registry preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills required
Additional Information
- Executes computed tomography and radiographic imaging with limited supervision
- Gathers patient histories and prepares records for completion of patient charts
- Administers contrast media under physician direction per department policy
- Verifies patient identity and orders, monitors patients throughout exams, and uses radiation protection protocols
- Assists radiologist with exams as needed
- Performs quality control on imaging equipment and restocks supplies and linens
- Notifies appropriate personnel for equipment maintenance and malfunctions
- Candidates must live within 75 miles of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
