Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a day shift acute care position requiring recent acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 0700-1930, with 36 or 48 hour weekly options
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Minimum one year of recent acute care RN experience required
• Med/Surg floor experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• No history of prior license actions permitted

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care across all age groups
• Delegate and coordinate care while maintaining nursing standards of practice
• Recognize and respond to signs of cardiac, respiratory, or other emergencies including Code Blue situations
• Accurately document and chart medications and patient care per hospital policy
• Participate in discharge planning, patient education, and staff training as needed
• Maintain infection control guidelines and patient privacy standards
• Position represented by CNA
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• No radius restriction, local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Travelers may only be submitted to one facility within the health system at a time
