Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with a minimum of 3 years of case management experience and an active CA RN license for a day shift assignment.
Details
- Acute hospital setting within a Case Management department
- Supports a pilot project for liver failure patients across ED, observation, and inpatient units
- Collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team, including a Community Health Worker, to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating required
- Epic EMR system used for charting
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required (no temporary license accepted)
- BSN required
- BLS certification required
- Case management certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of recent case management experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Experience with InterQual Criteria and Milliman Guidelines
- Knowledge of CMS, HIPAA, ICD-10, DRG, and Joint Commission regulatory standards
Additional Information
- Responsible for care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review
- Business casual dress attire required; no scrubs necessary
- At least one previous travel assignment required for consideration
- Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or employees must complete a 12-month separation and clearance through Talent Management before reapplying
- Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Requested time off should be kept under 7 days per assignment when possible
