Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT certification and advanced CT certification for a night shift assignment at an acute care facility.

Details

• Computed Tomography department within a hospital setting
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• No on-call requirements
• No weekend requirements
• Must be available to work facility holidays if needed
• Uses PACS, Epic, and IMPAX service tools for image transmission and order management

Requirements

• ARRT certification or registry eligible required; license required if applicable
• Registry eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from an accredited program
• Advanced certification in CT required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
• Siemens equipment experience preferred
• Must become fully registered within one year of employment and maintain registry status and continuing education annually

Additional Information

• Conduct CT procedures and tests to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data
• Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, and ensure patient safety and understanding
• Document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age as applicable
• Obtain and manipulate images per protocol, including multi-planar and 3D reconstruction
• Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients following safety protocols
• Establish intravenous lines and verify contrast eligibility and lab values prior to injection
• Transmit and verify images using PACS, Epic, and IMPAX service tools
• Manage orders accurately, including modifications and cancellations to avoid duplicate billing
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Review patient charts and reports for correlation with imaging studies
• Document incidents as improvement opportunities for staff and department
• Precept new employees and students as needed
