Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a cardiac telemetry unit, requiring NC or compact RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• 355-bed hospital featuring Brain, Cancer, Heart, and Lung Centers, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and Level 3 NICU
• Telemetry unit with 24 beds and a 4:1 patient ratio
• Cardiac specialty caring for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterization (groin & radial) and VATS
• Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment/systems
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's degree required
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a family-oriented cardiac unit
• Candidates may wear any color scrubs
• Must start on a designated orientation date of December 7th
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate; otherwise local rate applies
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
