Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring NC or compact RN licensure and Cerner experience on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting, 24-bed cardiac floor
• Generalized cardiac patient population ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin and radial) and VATS
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Associate's degree required
• Cerner experience required
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care within a family-oriented unit
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Candidates must not have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Travelers must start on a specified orientation date
