Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-Ray Technologist for an afternoon shift assignment requiring 2+ years of current CT/X-Ray experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Radiology department in a teaching hospital setting with full diagnostic imaging capabilities including MRI, CT, ultrasound, x-ray, and mammography
• Afternoon shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• Technologist will perform both CT and X-Ray diagnostic procedures
• May be required to perform other duties within scope of practice during low census periods

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years current CT/X-Ray experience required
• Minimum 6-12 months of current agency travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• ARRT certification in CT and Radiography required
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• Massachusetts Radiology License required; license required if applicable
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must be able to perform IV insertion and injections
• Candidate must have own vehicle for transportation needs

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking to facilitate diagnosis
• May be assigned independent responsibilities by department leadership including supervision or instruction of department personnel
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including use of Tiger Text messaging system
• Must demonstrate proficiency with PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, as well as CR, DR, and CT equipment troubleshooting
• Must complete annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation
• Candidates working a concurrent per diem/PRN assignment will not be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for this assignment, and all time off requests must be submitted prior to consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
