Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer for an outpatient radiology department requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification.

Details

Outpatient ultrasound department within radiology
Caseload of 10-15 patients daily
Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Performs general imaging ultrasound including thyroid and venous extremity exams
Required procedure experience includes general, abdomen, OB/Gyn, renal/pelvis, and small parts ultrasound
Required vascular experience includes Doppler studies, upper/lower extremity venous, and M-Mode
Preferred experience includes peripheral vascular and renal artery duplex studies
Preferred equipment experience with Siemens and Acuson scanners
Uses Epic EMR
3x12 night shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
First week orientation scheduled Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Weekend requirement every Saturday and Sunday
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in ultrasound/sonography required
BLS and ARRT certification required (RDMS AB), ARRT (RDMS OB) preferred
License required if applicable
Outpatient setting experience required
Inpatient, ER, Level 1 Trauma, Neonate, and NICU experience preferred
PACS experience required
Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

Provides ultrasound services in an outpatient facility delivering a high-quality patient experience
Work within a 495-bed regional referral facility recognized for advanced care services
Candidates must live within 65 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
Caribbean Blue scrub color required per facility dress code policy
