Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an evening shift role requiring ARRT registration in Radiography and CT plus 1+ year of hospital CT experience.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center setting
• 500-bed hospital with an Interventional Radiology department
• Patient population includes ER, inpatient, and trauma/stroke cases
• Equipment includes GE CT scanners and power injectors
• EMR/systems used include Epic, Visage, Vitrea, and Medicalis
• 5x8 evening shift, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• Floating as required by facility
• No call requirements

Requirements

• ARRT registration in Radiography and CT required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Tech in a hospital setting required
• Stroke and trauma case experience required
• Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an AMA-approved school required
• Proficiency with CT scanners, power injectors, PACS, HIS/RIS, and QC workstations required
• Must be capable of lifting, moving, and transporting patients, and continual standing and walking
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs diagnostic CT scans independently at a technical level and transports patients as needed
• Performs post-processing procedures on Vitrea workstations and functions on QC workstation
• Observes universal precautions and wears proper personal protective equipment
• Evening shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with no declinations accepted
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of RTO allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted, though bill rate is reduced for those within 50 miles of the facility
