Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with charge nurse experience for a float position requiring a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Float role covering Med/Surg, Telemetry, ER-boarded, and general acute care patients across the hospital
• Nurse to patient ratio varies 1:4-6 depending on unit acuity
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• May include charge nurse duties on smaller units staffed with 1-2 RNs supported by LPNs and CNAs, covering staffing needs, bed flow, and coordination
• Epic EMR experience required
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency cardiac response
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and nasal cannula/respiratory care
• Must have US-based clinical experience; Canadian experience alone does not qualify
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for submission

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care and, on select units, serve as sole charge RN managing staffing, bed flow, and coordination
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including dates and location
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
