Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and SC or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery/LDRP unit of an acute care hospital
• Couplet care patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45p-7:15a)
• Required to work every third weekend
• On-call requirement of two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
• No floating required between units or sister facilities

Requirements

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP
• AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
• Experience with couplet care and high-risk OB required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide labor and delivery management and assist with high-risk deliveries
• Deliver postpartum care including couplet care of mother and newborn
• Perform IV therapy/phlebotomy and use infusion pumps and IV monitoring
• Facility-provided scrubs
• Medications managed via Omnicell system
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted
• Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must have been separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval and unit needs
• During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
