Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 33-bed Ortho unit requiring a TX or compact RN license and 1 year of recent specialty experience.

Details

• 13-week assignment on the 3T Ortho unit (4th Floor, Main Hospital)
• 33-bed unit with day and night shift staffing of Charge Nurse, RNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretary
• 7A-7P shift schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Medical/surgical patient population including telemetry, pre/post surgical, cardiac, respiratory, and GI cases
• Uses bladder scanners, scales, vein finders, lift equipment, IV Sonosite, iMobile communication devices, in-room computers, and workstations on wheels
• Meditech EMR used
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required throughout the hospital to care for med/surg patients based on need

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CPI/SAMA preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Royal Blue scrub color required
