Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring CVICU experience with POD 0 Open Hearts, IABP, and Impella management.
Details
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting
- Cares for post-op POD 0 Open Heart patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Utilizes IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) and Impella devices
- Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 1845-0715
- Call required
Requirements
- Active NV RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience in a US hospital required
- Clearly documented experience with POD 0 Open Hearts, IABP, and Impella required on resume
- Strong organizational and leadership skills required
- Expert ability to assess patient conditions and analyze complex cardiac cases
- Thorough knowledge of arrhythmia management, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics
- Ability to communicate, coordinate, and delegate effectively in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment
- Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Provide expert-level critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular surgical patients
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration
- RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration
