Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Endoscopy RN with at least 2 years of procedural GI experience for a hospital-based Upper and Lower GI unit requiring NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Endoscopy GI unit of a 294-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital
• Specialty focused on Upper and Lower GI procedures, primarily diagnostic cases with no advanced procedures such as ERCP
• Adult patient population only, no pediatric cases
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Single endoscopy procedure room, with a second room in development
• Uses standard GI equipment, including Olympus scopes
• Meditech EHR experience preferred
• Schedule is 8 or 10 hour shifts Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Call requirements include 4-6 weekdays per month and every 3rd weekend
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (NC or compact)
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy nursing experience required
• Experience with cleaning and processing scopes preferred
• Must be comfortable performing diagnostic GI procedures

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures
• Work under the supervision of the Surgical Services Director
• Pleasant, positive, and hardworking personality fit preferred
• No specific scrub color required, but attire must not be provocative, offensive, or political
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Local candidates accepted only if residing 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
