Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position requiring SC or compact licensure and prior Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit setting providing care to adult patients across the lifespan
• 13-week assignment with 3x12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• CPI certification required (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course)
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly desired
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility for consideration

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations in accordance with policy and procedures
• Deliver age-appropriate, competent, and efficient patient care
• Document initial and ongoing nursing assessments, including review of systems
• Determine appropriate nursing needs based on patient assessment findings
• Complete admission assessments within established time frames
