Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Inpatient Holding/Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient Holding unit within a hospital setting
• 14-bed unit staffed with 8 nurses and 4 PCTs
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses cardiac monitors, vital sign machines, and IV pumps
• Charts in Meditech Expanse
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Floating required to Med/Surg and IMU units
• Alternating weekends and holidays required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification, acute care, and ICU experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty required
• Experience in a trauma facility is a plus
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Perform IV insertion, lab draws, and Foley catheter insertion
• Teamwork-oriented personality best suited for this unit
• Royal blue scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met
