Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for an evening shift contract requiring Level 1 trauma and strong scrub experience.

Details

• Bell OR Unit setting within a Level 1 trauma hospital
• Mid-shift schedule of 10:30am-9:00pm, four 10-hour shifts weekly (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri)
• No weekend requirement, except for on-call duties
• Holiday coverage required if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday
• Floating required to all operating rooms
• On-call required, up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KS or Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Strong scrub experience required
• Experience with DaVinci robot cases, large head and neck cases, neuro spine, and ex lap cases required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Experience in ortho, general, trauma, gyn, urology, or plastics preferred
• New graduates will not be considered

• Perform scrub duties across a variety of complex surgical specialties
• New employee orientation held Monday/Tuesday followed by department of nursing orientation and EPIC training Wednesday-Friday, held bi-weekly

• Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this role
