Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of comparable acuity hospital experience and Cerner EMR experience.

Details

• Float pool position covering multiple acute care units including medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, ortho, neuro, vascular, pulmonary, and cardiac units
• Unit assignment determined by nursing supervisor at time of staffing assignment
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45pm-7:15am with a 30-minute lunch
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6, though ratios vary according to need
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• No block scheduling accommodations

Requirements

• Active unencumbered TN or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital required
• Prior Cerner EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Floats across a wide range of units including medical comfort care, surgery/GI, trauma, observation, oncology, nephrology, ortho/joint replacement, neuro, vascular, pulmonary, and cardiac surgery
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Completes onboarding and annual competency modules during orientation, which vary by specialty
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous travelers with this facility are eligible to return
• Travel pairs allowed
