Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment requiring BLS certification and 6 months of recent medical-surgical experience.

Details

Medical Surgical unit with 20 beds and 15 staff members
Staffed by RNs and PCTs on both day and night shifts
Patient ratio of 6:1
Uses Mobilab and Baxter pump equipment
Meditech EMR
Day shift schedule from 7A-7P
No on-call requirements
May float to other Medical Surgical Telemetry level of care departments
Performs peripheral IV insertion, NG tube management, dressing changes, and central line management
Cares for patients on telemetry monitors

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required
BLS certification required
Minimum 6 months of experience caring for medical surgical patients
No work history gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
US SSN and DOB required for consideration
Bachelor's degree preferred
Charge nurse experience preferred
Advanced Med Surg Certification (MSRN) preferred
