Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN - OR for a surgery center requiring ophthalmology (cataract and retina) experience, with a Monday-Friday schedule and no weekends, holidays, or call.

Details

• Surgery center setting with 3 ORs and 2 procedure rooms
• Staffing includes 3 circulating RNs, 1 CST, and 1 GI tech per shift
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Multi-specialty caseload including sports medicine, general surgery, GYN surgery, GI (colonoscopy and EGD), podiatry, and plastics
• Uses standard OR equipment plus daVinci Xi robot and Alcon Centurion system
• All charting is done on paper; no EMR used
• Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-4:00 PM, with some variation based on case load
• No weekends, holidays, on-call, or floating required
• Scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required
• Ophthalmology (cataract and retina) surgery experience required, either circulating or scrubbing
• daVinci Xi robot experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Circulate and/or scrub a variety of multi-specialty surgical cases
• OR circulating staff have 5+ years of experience
• Facility recently launched a robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery program using the daVinci Xi platform
• Ideal candidate is a hard worker, team-oriented, and proactively supports colleagues during cases
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
