Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring 3 years of intraprocedural gastroenterology experience and NM or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Main Endoscopy department of a Level III trauma center
• 7-bed unit with 1:2 patient ratios
• Adult patient population with mid to high acuity
• Performs procedures including Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and Bronchoscopy
• Uses Olympus endoscopy equipment
• Charting is done in Cerner
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call requirements include weekends and evenings
• Possible floating to PreOp during low case volume in Endo

Requirements

• Active RN license (New Mexico or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of GI/Endoscopy experience required
• Intraprocedural technical experience required
• RN degree required
• Must demonstrate critical competencies including biopsy, dilatation, variceal banding, therapeutic injection, foreign body retrieval, clip application, snare technique, and various ERCP procedures
• Must be able to troubleshoot equipment and supplies and proactively assist team members
• Skills checklist rating of at least 3.2 overall required
• Submission requires completion of area specific competency exam

Additional Information

• Provide pre, intra, and post-procedure care for gastroenterology patients
• Perform Level I and II procedures with the exception of open heart cases
• Part of a surgical team that may include RNs and Surgical Techs
• Located in Farmington, New Mexico, offering outdoor recreation and proximity to Durango, CO and Albuquerque, NM
