Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 15-week assignment requiring 2 years of recent ED experience and an active Oregon RN and CNA license.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients across the full spectrum of acuity
• High patient volume and acuity Emergency Department
• Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center setting preferred, in a large hospital environment
• Evening (4x12, 1400-0230) or Night (4x12, 1800-0430) shifts with variable 1400-1800 start times
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available
• Required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliated facilities, with priority given to West Valley Hospital, approximately 15 minutes away
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required (pending licensure accepted at submission) and active, in-hand Oregon CNA license (no pending CNA licenses accepted)
• Active OR RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; ENPC or PALS also required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 recent years of ER RN experience required
• 1+ year of charge RN experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with emergency medications and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Experience with continuous IV paralytics and sedation preferred
• Experience caring for ventilated patients preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Skilled in patient triage

• Provide quality patient care across the full spectrum of patient needs and acuity levels in the Emergency Department
• Finalized RTO must be submitted for consideration, with no changes accepted afterward
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Former employees of this health system are not eligible for assignment until six months after their termination date
• Candidates with license or background findings must provide a detailed written statement for individual review and are not eligible for the 90-day temporary license waiver
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for consideration
