Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position in Southern Maryland requiring HCHB charting experience and MD or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Home health setting serving adult patients discharged from hospitals, MD offices, and SNFs
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
• No weekends, on-call, or overtime required
• Minimum of 6 points per day expected
• Uses HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) charting system

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• HCHB charting experience required
• Home care experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must be nicotine-free; a positive nicotine screen will result in cancellation

Additional Information

• Provide skilled home health nursing care including admission assessments, case management, recertification, resumption of care, and discharge planning
• Perform OASIS documentation and clinical assessments
• Manage wound care, medication administration, and chronic disease monitoring in the home setting
• Coordinate services across a range of specialties including respiratory, GI, GU, oncology, and orthopedic care
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no mile radius rule
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year
• One RTO request allowed
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
