Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 1+ year of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience for a Level III trauma acute care hospital.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, 150 staffed beds
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, variable hours between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required, either every other weekend or 6 total weekend shifts per 6-week period
• On-call requirements may apply based on unit needs
• May be required to float to sister facilities within the IDN if needed
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Sunrise charting system and PACS
• Uses Xper recording platform

Requirements

• Active Florida State or compact RN license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
• License required if applicable
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab required
• Experience with Xper recording platform required
• Experience with cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table study required
• Experience with angioplasty and stent placement required
• Experience with dialysis graft interventions (fistulograms/declots), endovascular interventions, and upper/lower extremity angiography required
• Experience with PACS required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with special equipment such as Impella, balloon pump, CSI, Shockwave, and Penumbra preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, EP studies, vascular access, and sterile field maintenance
• Flu vaccine required, with signed medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Any solid-colored scrubs permitted with matching top and bottom, no logos or prints, travelers must purchase their own
• Free parking with decal provided at orientation
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same travel rate with no radius restriction
• Former Health First employees or contracted staff must wait at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Finalized RTO must be submitted prior to offer and will not be accepted afterward
• Contracted hours are guaranteed
