Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room with vascular, orthopedic, and robotic surgery experience for a Level II Trauma Center community hospital setting.

Details

Work in the General OR of a Level II Trauma Center community hospital
Weekend shift schedule: Fri/Sat/Sun 7a-7:30p
No on-call requirement, though optional pickup shifts are available
Epic charting system used
Scrub for vascular, orthopedic, urology, neurology, and trauma cases

Requirements

Active PA Single State or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
Current certifications: BLS, NIHSS, and Trauma certification (TNCC or equivalent Trauma Course)
Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
Community hospital and Level I/II Trauma experience required
Vascular surgery experience required (AAA repair, AV fistula repair, carotid angioplasty/stenting, CEA, femoral-popliteal bypass graft)
Orthopedic and podiatry experience required (total joint replacement, arthroscopy, ORIF, closed reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, spine, ankle fusion, bunionectomy)
Robotic surgery experience required, particularly urology-focused robotic cases
Urology surgery experience required (cystoscopy, laparoscopic cases, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP)
PA fingerprint clearance required
Charting system experience required
Prior charge experience preferred

Additional Information

Supports a broad mix of open and endovascular vascular surgery, orthopedic and spine procedures, trauma surgery, neurosurgery, podiatry, general surgery, urology, and robotic surgery
Surgeons perform advanced vascular procedures in a hybrid endovascular suite
Scrubs are hospital provided
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a reduced local rate
All time off requests must be submitted at time of consideration, with no accommodations for block scheduling or requests submitted afterward
