Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring telemetry and NIHSS certification with a focus on night shift coverage.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Telemetry patient population requiring cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Day shift (4x12, 7:00-19:30) and Night shift (4x12, 19:00-7:30) available, with highest need for night shift coverage
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Schedule may rotate between day and night shifts based on unit need

Requirements

• Active MN RN license (or pending license accepted)
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in specialty required
• Strong neuro experience in specialty preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Epic/Excellian EMR experience may be required depending on position
• At least 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and management of dysrhythmias
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates must be gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked as a perm (staff or per diem) employee to be eligible
• RTO requests ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travel experience is not required
