Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-ray Technologist with 1+ years of CT and X-ray experience to work independently in a radiology department serving outpatient and ED patients.

Details

• 13-week assignment in a hospital radiology department
• 8-bed unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Mainly outpatient and ED patients with only 8 inpatient beds
• Uses Toshiba CT equipment and EPIC EMR
• Variable shift schedule across two alternating weeks, averaging 36 hours weekly
• Normally no call required
• Floats between CT and X-ray as needed
• Transports patients between the ED and Radiology Department

Requirements

• BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of CT and X-ray experience required
• Must be able to work independently without constant supervision
• Experience finalizing exams within the EMR

Additional Information

• Performs CT and radiographic diagnostic procedures independently
• Prepares orders and assumes responsibility for designated procedures and areas
• Works alone for part of the shift and must be a self-starter
• Black scrubs required; no non-Mercy branded t-shirts allowed
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Radiology Manager
