Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring NY licensure, EPIC experience, and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS/PALS certifications.

Details

• 11-bed medical Emergency Department with a separate CPEP unit for behavioral health patients
• CPEP includes a 6-bed evaluation area and a 2-bed Extended Obs space
• Unit staffed with a nurse, PCT, and CPEP behavioral health team whenever patients are present
• Patients are triaged and medically cleared before entering the CPEP space
• Security posted in the ED
• 3x12 night shift schedule, 1900-0700
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Floating required
• EPIC charting experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC, TRUST, CPIM
• EPIC charting experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Care for a combined adult/pediatric ED population including trauma, psychiatric, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and orthopedic cases
• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Stroke/STEMI Certified
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates must have no more than 10 days of requested time off (RTO) to be considered
• Previous employees must have a 6-month system-wide break in service before returning
