Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a day-shift assignment requiring 24 months of MRI experience and proficiency with both Siemens and GE equipment.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department serving ED, inpatient, and outpatient patients
• Monday through Friday schedule, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• Call requirements include one weeknight (Sun-Thurs) and one weekend (Fri/Sat) every 10th weekend
• May be required to float across multiple campuses including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist
• Uses Siemens and GE MRI equipment
• Performs power injection contrast injections
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• ARRT (R)(MR) certification or ARMRIT certificate required
• Minimum of 24 months of current MRI experience required
• Current/recent hospital experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Strong experience and proficiency with Siemens and GE MRI equipment required
• Epic or Epic Radiant experience highly preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Charcoal gray scrubs required
• Past employees of the health system, whether FTE or PRN float pool, are subject to a 12-month separation policy restricting travel assignments in other markets
