Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with 5 years of recent tele experience and CA RN licensure for a night shift hospital position.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Post-PCI patient care experience preferred
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
• May require working consecutive weekends based on facility needs
• May need to work AM/NOC shifts with appropriate notification from staffing
• No on-call requirement and no block scheduling
• Floating to Med-Surg or Telemetry regions required
• May be asked to care for Med-Surg and/or Telemetry patients in Overflow unit or Emergency Department if needed
• Epic charting and Pyxis medication system experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:4

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 5 years of recent Telemetry experience required
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must provide 2 professional references obtained within the past year
• Must be amenable to preceptorship if needed

• Provide comprehensive, patient and family-centered nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards
• Guide and monitor the work of paraprofessional and other care team members as a primary nursing team member
• Work within a customer-focused, service-oriented care team
• Holiday coverage may be required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with only one holiday request approved per contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Travel experience required
