Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN with 5 years of recent tele experience and a CA RN license for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Shift is 3x12 Evenings (15:00-03:30), with possible consecutive weekends as needed
• May be required to work AM/NOC shifts depending on hospital needs with appropriate notice
• No on-call requirement and no block scheduling
• Cancellations handled in 4-hour blocks when necessary
• Float requirement to Med-Surg or Telemetry regions, including Overflow unit or Emergency Department as needed
• Uses Epic for charting and Pyxis for medication management

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or ARC only)
• Minimum 5 years of recent Telemetry experience required
• Post-PCI patient care and Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Pyxis medication system experience required
• Must be amenable to preceptorship if needed
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required

Additional Information

• Provide patient-family centered nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards
• Guide and monitor paraprofessional and other nursing team members as part of a collaborative care team
• Must be amenable to floating to Med-Surg or Telemetry regions, Overflow unit, or Emergency Department as needed
• Holiday coverage required for one of the following: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Travel experience required
