Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department requiring prior travel experience and a CA RN license.
Details
- Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
- 13-week assignment with day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 11:00 to 23:30
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Every other weekend required
- May float to the Summit location ED only, approximately 3 miles away
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, CPI, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in emergency care across pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, cardiac, and trauma presentations
- Experience managing dysrhythmias, obtaining 12-lead EKGs, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
- Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in an acute care setting
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care addressing psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
- Adhere to hospital policies and industry best practices to promote optimal patient outcomes
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate
- Returning employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning as a travama traveler
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Candidates may only apply to one Sutter Health facility at a time
