Description

American Traveler is hiring a Special Education Teacher for an SLS (Autism) program serving Kindergarten through 5th grade students.

Details

Non-clinical elementary school setting
SLS (Autism) program classroom
Caseload of 10-12 students
Student age range: Kindergarten through 5th grade
Collaborates daily with a second teacher in a co-taught SLS classroom
Paraprofessionals support students across both SLS classrooms based on schedule and need
Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Students split time between general education and SLS classroom settings based on individual needs

Requirements

CDE license required in-hand
License required if applicable
Experience working with students with ASD preferred
Colorado CBI and FBI fingerprinting clearance required

Additional Information

Collaborate with an experienced and supportive special education team
Support a group of students with a wide range of needs
Fingerprinting clearance should be completed promptly after contract signing
