Description
Become a vital part of the care team as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist. You will perform CT imaging examinations, administer intravenous contrast per hospital guidelines, operate and maintain CT equipment, perform general radiographic examinations as needed, and follow radiation safety practices. You will document patient care, assist with quality control testing, and support departmental operations. This role includes occasional rotating emergency call and may require coverage at other facilities within the market.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience required. 2 years of radiology experience preferred.
- Current ARRT(R) registration required. ARRT(CT) registration preferred.
- Current Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license for Radiologic Technologist required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. ACLS preferred.
- Experience performing intravenous contrast injections and CT patient protocols.
- Experience operating CT scanners and general radiography equipment. Facility has 2 CT and 2 X‑ray rooms and expects CT technologists to assist in general x‑ray coverage as needed.
- Ability to follow departmental quality assurance procedures and radiation safety standards consistent with ODH and Joint Commission requirements.
- Ability to perform clerical documentation, maintain equipment logs, and participate in department in‑services and staff meetings.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift name: Days.
- Scheduled weekend coverage: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Shift hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM.
- Department size: approximately 8–10 employees in the imaging center with typical shift staffing of 2 CT techs, 1 x‑ray tech, 1 MRI tech, and 2 ultrasound techs.
- Average CT patient volume: approximately 31 CT patients per day.
- Candidate must be prepared for rotating emergency call and possible coverage at other facilities within the market.
