We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Richmond, VA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current Virginia state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum one year of experience as an RRT in an acute care or hospital setting.
• BLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with mechanical ventilators, non-invasive ventilation, and airway management, including endotracheal tube insertion and tracheostomy care.
• Competence in arterial blood gas sampling, oximetry, capnography, and interpretation of basic chest x-rays.
• Experience performing pulmonary function testing and 12‑lead EKGs with basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Ability to operate and perform preventive maintenance on ventilatory and respiratory therapy equipment.
• Comfort working with procedures such as bronchoscopy assistance, chest tube management, and suctioning by multiple methods.
• Strong documentation skills for respiratory care records and electronic charting.
• Preferred: experience in moderate complexity laboratory environments and prior transport experience.
