We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Middleburg Heights, OH where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The Respiratory Therapist provides intensive respiratory care, patient transport, ventilator management, airway procedures, pulmonary function testing, monitoring, and education consistent with professional licensure and facility policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Ohio state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification required.
• Competence with ventilator management, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and ventilator setup and self-test procedures.
• Experience performing arterial puncture, oximetry, capnography, 12-lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal), and tracheostomy care.
• Ability to assist with bronchoscopy, chest tube procedures, and other respiratory-related procedures per policy.
• Experience documenting respiratory care records and communicating patient status to physicians and shift teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

• Night shift, 3x12.
