Description
Become a vital part of a Charlotte, NC hospital as an experienced CT Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast agents, and operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic studies for emergency, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations. You will collaborate with radiology nursing and multidisciplinary teams to support timely patient care.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years CT technologist experience.
- Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiologic technology program.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification with CT advanced registry.
- BLS certification.
- Experience performing venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase studies, stroke imaging including perfusion, and colorectal protocols.
- Ability to start peripheral IVs and assist with CT-guided invasive procedures.
- Experience working in a hospital radiology environment that supports ED, ICU, inpatient, observation, and outpatient imaging.
- Experience with EPIC (EMR), Epic Radiant (RIS), and PACS workflow preferred.
- TeraRecon knowledge preferred but not required.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift name: Nights.
- Shift details: Nights 2100–0900, 3x12.
- Duration: 13 week assignment.
- Standard hours per week: 36.
- Department staffing: CT performs approximately 160 studies per weekday and 120 on weekends; department provides CT-guided invasive procedures and supports anesthesia cases as needed.
- Orientation: 1 day administrative onboarding; 2 days to 1 week departmental orientation as needed.
- Technology/equipment: Siemens Definition AS 40, Siemens Force, Siemens Edge+ CT scanners; Bayer/Medrad power injectors; EPIC/Epic Radiant/PACS Philips iSite.
- Floating: No.
- Scrub color: Black. Parking: surface lots and parking decks at no cost.
