Description
Become a vital part of a hospital-based Radiology team in Pueblo, CO as an experienced CT Technologist. You will follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and operate CT equipment to perform routine and advanced CT studies for patient diagnosis and care.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of CT technologist experience.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography with CT (ARRT (R) (CT)).
- Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent formal training.
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
- Experience performing routine CT imaging including head, chest, abdomen/pelvis, CTA head and chest, and calcium scoring.
- Experience with EPIC Radiant charting and Synapse PACS.
- Experience with GE CT scanners or equivalent vendor experience.
- Ability to start IVs as part of CT contrast administration.
- Minimum of 2 years working in a hospital radiology/CT environment.
- Willingness to complete a 12-hour departmental orientation week in person.
- Must be able to provide a valid driver’s license within a 60-mile radius if requested.
- Agency must provide traveler radiation badge; facility does not provide one.
- Preferred: prior experience with high-volume CT workflow (average 30–40 studies per day) and familiarity with department procedures in an environment with in-house radiologists.
Assignment Details:
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift name: Nights.
- Shift details: Nights 1700–0500. Specific weekend and weekday night coverage includes 5:30 p.m.–5:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. Monday, and 6:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. Tuesday.
- Orientation hours: 12 hours in-department orientation during the orientation week.
- Department: Radiology — CT (Computed Tomography). Two CT scanners in department.
- Typical caseload: approximately 30–40 scans per day, including CTA and routine studies.
- EMR/PACS: EPIC Radiant and Synapse PACS used for charting and image review.
- Floating: No floating to other departments required.
- Weekend and holiday coverage required as part of schedule.
