Description
Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights? Join our team as a cath lab tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise—while enjoying the excitement of a new location. Assist physicians and other Cath Lab personnel in conducting diagnostic tests and procedures. Operate advanced medical equipment to capture images and data of the heart and blood vessels.
What You'll Need:
- ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist or equivalent credential.
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) from CCI preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required. First-time travelers will be considered.
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
- Required technical skills: Peripheral angiogram/run-off experience is required. Experience with endografts, EVAR, TEVAR, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitral Clip procedures preferred. If lacking endograft/EVAR/TEVAR experience, candidate must be willing to be trained; manager approval required if missing experience.
- Preferred: experience in Interventional Radiology or working with vascular surgeons.
- State licensure as required by North Carolina.
Assignment Details
- Primary Specialty: Cath Lab Tech.
- Facility Type: Hospital.
- City: Charlotte, NC.
- Shift Name: Days.
- Shift Hours: 0730-1800.
- Schedule: 4x10 (four 10-hour shifts) per week; standard hours 40 per week.
- Unit: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory with 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms.
- On-call expectations: Vascular call includes two weekends per month and two weekdays of call with 1-hour response time. Cardiac call includes one night of call per week and one of every five weekends with 30-minute response time. Manager will review call assignments during interview.
- Weekend rotation and holiday coverage discussed during interview. Travelers expected to cover at least one holiday in contract when applicable.
- Orientation: 1 week prior to on-call and 2 departmental days; EPIC training modules and ACE modules provided.
- Floating: None.
- EMR: EPIC.
- Technology: Hemodynamics (Merge Hemo), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, Philips/GE/Siemens imaging, ISCV PACS.
- Parking: Free. Scrubs provided in green color.
